Wanna Know a Secret?
The most life-changing, mind-blowing relationship you’ll ever have is the one you’ve got with… wait for it… yourself. Yep, you heard me. The most nausea-inducing, tear-triggering, scream-worthy rollercoaster ride of a relationship is the one you have with that beautiful, messy, perfectly imperfect person staring back at you in the mirror. So, here’s the million-dollar question: how can you show up for yourself with a devotion to your own evolution?
Let’s break it down, shall we? Here are a few cheeky tips for navigating this wild thing called life (or something like it):
- Write the next word of your life. Don’t sweat the next chapter just yet. Focus on the very next word, and let the story unfold as it’s meant to.
- It’s okay to revisit your past. Flip through those old pages if you must, but don’t set up camp there. You’ve got new stories to write.
- Not feeling the ink you’re writing with? Change it! You’re the author here—get creative with it.
- Stop waiting to be rescued. Spoiler alert: You’re the hero. Grab that pen and own it. The plot’s in your hands, darling.
- When society (or anyone else) throws their books at you, telling you how to write your story… Feel free to greet them with a world-class “FCK YOU!”* You’ve got this.
Self Love + Time
Time may not be a renewable resource, but here’s the thing: questioning your worth based on the curves, bumps, or scars of your body? That’s a hard no. This “meat suit” you’re rocking—it’s held space for your soul through every battle, every triumph, and every fall. And it’s still standing, which means you are too.
Here’s what I know for sure: every time you rise from life’s battles (and you have risen, over and over again), you come out stronger. Those battles? They shape you into a warrior. Whether you’re chasing dreams, passions, or just surviving Monday, each struggle affects how you see yourself. So, whether your demons are called insecurity, doubt, fear, or comparison, there comes a point when you stand in front of the mirror and make a choice.
You choose to be the author, creator, and hero of your own life. But first—you’ve got to accept the job. And guess what? With that acceptance comes some pressure. Those demons will always try to pull you down, make you look at your shadows. But here’s the game-changer: how you show up for yourself in these moments changes everything.
Look up, because the world needs you standing tall, writing your story, and owning every single page. Keep rising.
And don’t worry—I’ll be right next to you, doing the same thing (or at least trying).
